Donovan's Books

Donovan Harrison grew up on a farm in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. The family was so poor that even the poor people laughed at them. They scratched out a living by selling eggs, cream, and frying chickens in the small town of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Donovan married Mildred Clay when he was nineteen and she was eighteen. They said it wouldn't last, but fifty-two years later, the marriage is still going strong. After marriage, Donovan attended college at Panhandle State University at Goodwell, Oklahoma. After graduating from college, he taught mathematics in Texas, Colorado, Alaska, Oklahoma, and Kansas. After thirty-eight years of teaching, Donovan has retired and is now pursuing a second career in the field of writing.
